Pasqualino "Lino" Palmieri
Pasqualino "Lino" Palmieri
The success story of this cuisinier began in 1971 with the opening of his legendary restaurant "Amalfi", which made his culinary art known far beyond the city limits of Düsseldorf. Over 25 years, everybody who was anybody on the German scene met here.
In 1982, Palmieri published his cookery book "Schlemmen auf Italienisch" ("feasting in Italian"), which has since been reprinted several times in extended form.
As organiser and guest cook, he took part in major events including:
- The Media Prize Baden-Baden (1992 - 1996)
- The Federal Chancellor's reception in Bonn
- The hosting of Medici Buffets in Düsseldorf, Berlin and Weimar with recipes from the 16th century
Lino Palmieri's challenge is to produce compositions and creations that satisfy every taste. With him as "director and conductor", traditional Italian cuisine will experience a revival. Of course, you are also served dishes from international cuisine.
